UConn's leading scorer and rebounder, Tarris Reed Jr., will miss Arizona.

In Storrs, Connecticut, the third-ranked UConn team faced off against fourth-ranked Arizona on Wednesday night without their star player, Tarris Reed Jr., who was sidelined due to an ankle injury. The team announced that Reed's status is game-to-game as he works on his recovery.
Standing at 6-foot-11, the senior from St. Louis delivered an impressive performance in their previous game against No. 7 BYU, scoring 21 points and grabbing eight rebounds during the Hall of Fame Series at TD Garden in Boston. Throughout the season, Reed has been averaging 20 points and 9.3 rebounds in just over 25 minutes per game.
Earlier in the season, Reed missed the opening game against New Haven and two exhibition matches due to a hamstring injury sustained during preseason training. Despite these setbacks, he has managed to secure a spot in the starting lineup for the past three games.
Adding to UConn's injury list is Braylon Mullins, the highly anticipated freshman who was named Big East Freshman of the Year in the preseason but is currently out of action due to an ankle injury. On a positive note, freshman Jacob Furphy is ready to step in and contribute on the court for the Huskies.
