Olivia Miles leads TCU to rare Top 25 road victory.

In a thrilling showdown in Raleigh, North Carolina, TCU guard Olivia Miles faced off against NC State in a game that stirred up new emotions for her.
Although familiar with the intensity of games against NC State, Miles found herself in a unique position during Sunday's matchup, where she played a vital role in leading the No. 17 Horned Frogs to a 69-59 victory over the No. 10 Wolfpack.
Reflecting on the atmosphere, Miles mentioned, "In terms of the environment, I knew what I was going [to see]." This win marked TCU's first victory over a ranked nonconference opponent on the road since January 2011 and only the program's second road triumph against a top-10 team.
With four new starters this season, TCU coach Mark Campbell emphasized the significance of such moments for the team's growth, stating, "It takes moments like these and games like these for your team to grow."
Contributing significantly to the triumph, former Cal transfer Marta Suarez, known for her impact in last year's upset of NC State, delivered an impressive performance with 26 points, while Miles showcased her versatility with 15 points and a remarkable 14 rebounds.
Suarez and Miles, both hailing from Atlantic Coast Conference programs, utilized their experience with the opposition's system to their advantage, with Miles acknowledging, "Their system, I've been playing them for 4½ years so I know [NC State coach] Wes Moore's system."
Miles, who previously scored 22 points for Notre Dame in a closely contested matchup against NC State, expressed her satisfaction with the outcome, stating, "Definitely a better taste in my mouth now." Campbell, unaware of Miles' past struggles at Reynolds Coliseum, commended her resilience and the team's potential for greatness.
Despite a season-low point total, Miles reached a significant career milestone of 1,500 points, underscoring her impact on the court. On the other hand, NC State struggled to contain Suarez, who dominated with 10 field goals and four 3-pointers to seal the victory.
NC State coach Wes Moore acknowledged Suarez's prowess, admitting, "She killed us last year when she was at Cal and she got us again." The Wolfpack saw their 24-game home-court winning streak come to an end at the hands of the Horned Frogs, who managed to secure a second consecutive victory over NC State.
With an abbreviated roster of only seven players, the Horned Frogs navigated the challenges of early-season matchups, showcasing their adaptability and determination as they continue to evolve. Campbell recognized the competitive landscape, noting, "It's so early on in the season and everybody is trying to figure out their team."
